lectureeee
Today's lecture was awesome! I really did enjoy it. Doug Bucci was so entertaining and lively (props to him for keeping me awake today). He started school in 1990 with a 6 month old child. This reminds me of my mom who is a great role model to me. She went to school while being pregnant with my now 31 year old brother. Doug's goal was to be a painter and educator. He applied to graduate school and thats where his direction in life really changed. He began working in metals and jewelry. This is something I really want to try and find it super interesting and cool. He designed a bunch of things for famous people like Prince Andrew of the British Council when he visited Philly and even Viva la Bam. He pushes himself because of his disease. He has diabetes but that doesn't stop him, and now he is creating jewelry inspired by the medical aspect of his disease. He is so interesting and inspiring. I loved today's lecture and it really inspired me and makes me want to try jewelry making.
