Lecure 9/29

So today in lecture, Kate Cuffari came in to talk about her job. She is in the field of conservation.  I never really heard about a job like this until today and found it really interesting. I had no clue so much technology was involved. She mainly works with 3D works of art and the museums use microscopes, ultra violet rays, and x-rays. The work they do can be undone so it can be left how it was found. They study samples of paint and its pigments from vases and wood cells from cabinets to tell their age. Some art is even meant to decay naturally, like "Strange Fruit". I really liked today's lecture, and especially the pictures Kate had to show us. I hope  nest weeks lecture keeps my attention like this one did (;
