Lecure 9/29
So today in lecture, Kate Cuffari came in to talk about her job. She is in the field of conservation. I never really heard about a job like this until today and found it really interesting. I had no clue so much technology was involved. She mainly works with 3D works of art and the museums use microscopes, ultra violet rays, and x-rays. The work they do can be undone so it can be left how it was found. They study samples of paint and its pigments from vases and wood cells from cabinets to tell their age. Some art is even meant to decay naturally, like "Strange Fruit". I really liked today's lecture, and especially the pictures Kate had to show us. I hope nest weeks lecture keeps my attention like this one did (;

These are two of my 5 drawings on Illustrator that I was assigned for homework. The first is a Warning label describing me. It reads WARNING: FLAMMABLE HAIR. I wear too much hair spray and if I am exposed to an open flame I will definitely combust! Also I uploaded my saying "Are you mopping up what I'm spilling?" This is a saying a lot of my friends and I use. It is sort of like saying "Do you know what I mean?".

NYC
So this past Sunday I went to New York City for my art history class. I took few pictures of the MET, my friends, and Central Park. I had a lot of fun and ate some yummy food. Actually I ate a ton of food, too much food. I ate a cookie, a wrap and a gyro. And I drank an organic orange soda pop (delicious) and lots of water. I was very tired, but still had a great time.
In the MET I wrote a small paper on this little Greek bronze disk thrower .. he was cute (: The MET is huge, I want to get married there, it is beautiful. Outside the museum there were four men singing soul music, it was quite entertaining (:

homework
So I went to South Street to do my homework (: I went with Malcolm, Ryan, and Marlena. We drove in Malcolm's Jeep so I guess it is safe to say we did not experience the subway mayhem. We went out to eat at an OK restaurant with a DISGUSTING bathroom (I might have Swin Flu). And did some shopping. I ate a B.L.T and a side of fries, and got a drink at Starbucks. I bought some supplies for my 3D class and a piggy bank .. which isn't shaped like a piggy at all. But it holds my change. I took lots of pictures of different shops and cafes. I took pictures from the car and walking. It was around 8 o'clock so the pictures are lit up by the street lamps and neon signs. I had a great time, and collected 5 really fun objects that explain my trip :)
